| Summary: | Documentary film Generation of South Africa is about young brothers Amir and Edin. They live in Slovenia from the day they were born but still they do not feel like they belong to this country. Their roots come from the land of Bosnia and Herzegovina, their parents came to Slovenia in search of a better life. As they were raised in certain culture but lived in society of another values they do not completely belong to neither of them. They do not look any different from an average teenager but still they get rejected by the society unconsciously (and sometimes consciously), likewise they reject the society. They are confused by their national identity and it is not easy to grow up like this. Sure they are not the only ones but it is interesting how a certain belief of your roots can keep you strong in terms of minority in one’s country. |
