| Summary: | Martin Krpan from Vrh at Sveta Trojica, a big, strong and simple man, is the only one who succeeded to defeat a scary giant Brdavs. The emperor from the court in Vienna wants to thank him; he even offers him marriage to his daughter. But the empress does not agree with that, she wants to get rid of Krpan with a barrel of wine and some food. Krpan doesn't care about the emperor's daughter or about the wine and food. Despite strong objections of the empress and minister Gregor, he succeeds to obtain the emperor's written permission to transport English salt. |
