| Summary: | The short film Papers focuses on an unfortunate day in the life of protagonist Zvonko, who, having lost his wallet, goes to the municipal administrative unit to have a new identity card made. After interacting with Živa, an employee, he is made aware of a problem. In order to make the document, Zvonko needs money, which, given his current predicament, he does not have. She refers him to the bank, where he learns that access to his account is permitted only with a valid ID card. What follows are Zvonko’s attempts to escape this loophole by relying on the kind spirit of strangers to procure the required sum. Unsuccessful and despondent, he resigns to a bench in front of the municipal building. There, he is spotted by Živa, who, feeling sorry for him, offers some good-willed advice. |
